Transparency & Accountability for Our Community

The Olds Transparency Project is a citizen led initiative, dedicated to protecting our town's agricultural history and fiscal future by advocating for municipal transparency and ensuring that major industrial developments, like Synapse's proposed data center and power plant, prioritize resident safety with community benefit.

Attention

It has come to our attention that there is another website out there doing a semi-stellar impression of our group. Honestly? We're flattered. We didn't know we had super fans dedicated enough to build an entire knock-off site for us. However, to clear up any confusion: We have zero association with this imitation group. Let's be real here: you clearly don't love Olds if you want to see this project tank our little town. OTP loves this community, which is why we are fighting to protect it. Accept no substitutes — this is the ONLY official home of the actual Olds Transparency Project!

What We Do

We believe an informed community is a stronger community. Here's how we help Olds residents stay engaged.

Public Documents

Centralizing access to critical information, from Synapse paperwork to municipal correspondence, Town of Olds municipal engagements, and all other relevant documentation, to ensure full transparency for the public.

Accountability Tracking

Serves as a community watchdog, tracking the progress and performance of Synapse's proposed industrial scale natural gas-fired power plant.

Community Voice

Strengthening our community by empowering Olds residents to participate in local governance and get more involved in current affairs in and around our town.
